Annual Cultural Programme - Tickets Available
 
Tickets will be on sale from Sunday 17 May 2009 for our annual cultural Programme and each Sunday thereafter.
 
Time
Start 14:00 - Main Hall
Finish 16:00 - thereafter dinner in Canteen
 
Please ensure you have bought your tickets well in advance as the numbers are limited.
 
Price
£8.00 for adults
£2.00 for non-CGS Children
 
All DONATIONS for this event are welcome, please see a committee member in the office.
 
 
Sunday, 28 June – Canons Gujarati School Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Location: School Gym Time: 10.30 am – 11.45 am
 
The AGM is an opportunity for parents to participate in elections for committee and security team membership. It is equally a forum during which a review of the previous year is presented. An open question and answer session will also be held in reference to the vision of the school and the outlook. We urge all parents to attend this meeting for the benefit of your children and the ongoing growth and success of the school. Full details are provided overleaf. We kindly request that the slip at the end of this letter by all parents and return to the office or committee member as soon a possible.
 
Notice is hereby given that the 17th Annual General Meeting of our School will be held on 28 June 2009 at 10.30 am at Canons High School, Shaldon Road, Edgware, Middlesex HA8 6AN.
 
Every parent of pupils attending the school is eligible to attend and vote.

Duration (maximum 60 minutes)
1. To open the meeting 5 minutes
2. Chairman & Secretary's Report 10 minutes
3. Treasurer's Report 5 minutes
4. Speakers from the Committee / Floor 15 minutes
5. Election of Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer 5 minutes
6. Election of 5 committee members 10 minutes
7. Any other business 10 minutes
8. Adjourn the Meeting  
 
It is hoped that every parent will make an effort to attend and take an active part at the AGM to air his or her views with regard to the running of the school. Please complete the attendance and nomination slip at the end of this letter and return to the offices as soon as possible. Please obtain the consent of the nominee that he/she is willing to stand for election.
 
 
Sunday 5 July 2009 – Annual Cultural Programme
 
Location: Main Hall, Time: 2.00 pm – 4.00 pm Dinner: 4.00 pm – 6.30 pm
 
Our annual cultural programme was a huge success last year. This year we aim to make it even better. Our students have been practising their cultural routine for a while now and we look forward to seeing you on 5 July.
 
Once again, we look forward to welcoming back our past GCSE students, whose successes in exams taken during the 2008/09 academic year will be acknowledged.
 
Dinner will be served in the canteen from 4.00 pm, immediately after the show.
 
Tickets will go on sale very soon – please listen out for announcements during assembly and refer to the school website for further information.
