Administration
Canons Gujarati School is run on behalf of trustees by an administrative committee. The committee members are all volunteers and do not receive any remuneration from school funds for the work they perform during the academic year. The administrative committee is responsible for:
(i) The effective and efficient running of the school each Sunday.
(ii) Developing the school’s Teacher/Pupil development strategy in line with changes in the Oxford and Cambridge (OCR) Examining Board Gujarati syllabus or any other relevant teaching practices;
(iii) Training its teachers so that they can deliver the OCR Gujarati Syllabus effectively and efficiently to pupils;
(iv) Reporting the schools financial and academic progress at the AGM;
(v) Keeping in touch with best practices in the teaching of languages, not
just Gujarati;
